Hi, my name is Kyle Barker. I currently work at Flagstone as a Senior Engineer. Previously, I spent a decade at a startup building a data sharing platform for the world of institutional investment. Ask me sometime about my favorite 4 things there:

    1. Designing a real time permission merge across hundreds of resources with thousands of fields.
    2. Owning a datamodel used by the largest investment research firm in the world
    3. Addressing performance in a standard Excel parser by decreasing compute time by over a thousand times and memory by a factor of three thousand
    4. Using probabilistic data structures for profit
    5. Dealing with off-by-one errors
