What could me more fun than using the most modern of tools to create the most retro of interfaces?

At the South London Makerspace, I have access to a Brother KH836 knitting machine. Despite being a purely mechanical device, it can accept punched cards to turn your methodically designed patterns into real garments.

Why suffer through meticulous punching of hundreds of holes after you’ve done all that hard work when you can use lasers!

The tool will accept either text based input or an image and then turn that into an svg, ready to cut on the laser.

There is something entirely enchanting to me in the using a webapp and cutting edge digital manufacturing to make the original computer interface

Try the tool, you’ll be hooked.
